ENGLISH

Famous for being the location of “Aristocrat’s Symphony” MV of Versailles, this castle has an unexpected origin.

Yesterday I introduced to you the new event announced by KAMIJO, the Dinner Party Vol.4 – Jōsho no Kikun, which will be held on January 20, 2019 at the castle of Lockheart. This castle is the place where Versailles filmed the video of  “Aristocrat’s Symphony”, and because of my curiosity I have done a short research which has let me discover something I honesty didn’t imagine.

Lockheart: Journey to a small corner of Europe in Japan

Lockheart Castle was built in Scotland in 1829 and later moved to Japan, this is why the place itself gives reasons to have the feeling of being in Europe, in its medieval and austere, almost evocative style, where visitors can wear vintage clothes and take a picture. Perhaps this is why it was chosen in the northern Kanto as “The Holy Place of Lovers”.

The site covers over 25 acres and includes a stone church, some shops and restaurants, and as already said just before, everything seems to come from a typical European medieval city. Having been named “The Sacred Place of Lovers” there are many structures of interest for couples who visit this wonderful site: “Spring Bell”  consists of climbing to the top floor of the tower, ring a little bell and summon love. Another romantic thing to do for lovers is writing a short message on small heart-shaped shells and hang them all over the place.

Taking a look on the map, the topography of the site recalls the medieval small cities or villages of Europe, and the fact that Versailles have chosen this place for their video shouldn’t surprise. It may be perhaps the reason why KAMIJO has chosen it for this event. Will he and the participants ring the bell? And will someone write the message on the little shell? I will do everything possible to find one or more people who will take part in this trip and will tell us, here on this site, about the day spent in this lovely place in the company of KAMIJO!
